Point Of No Return - Book Review

Recommended Romantic Reads

Author: Tanya Jean Russell

Book: Point of No Return (Cabin Crew)

This was an enjoyable read, perhaps a little slow with repetitive descriptions to start, but the story picked up half way through and livened up. I particularly liked the protective streak of the hero, after all, this is why I read romance! The quick wit of the heroine was also welcome and made the story more interesting and by keeping her reactions within the realms of possibility, this was a big positive in my view.

A little more intimacy between the main characters earlier in the story would have been good, but all in all the plot was well thought out.

I wonder if a little more could have been made of the roles of the heroine's ex boyfriend and also her grandfather. Once both characters had served their purpose in the story they were not heard of again despite quite a big build up to introduce them. I had been excited to see the 'big show down' between Jake and George, but this never materialised.

The author described the relationship between Jake and his friend Maddox well, it was believable and entertaining. The one scene of intimacy was well written and allowed the reader to relate to the heroine's feelings.

All in all, it was a good clean romance, with lots of suspense and an enjoyable read. I'd recommend it to my friends (particularly the more conservative ones).
